The Mobile Computing Lab (M-Lab) at the University of Notre Dame investigates how mobile and wireless computers and sensors can be used to address many pressing problems in areas such as healthcare, conservation, transportation, education, and more. Our lab applies techniques such as crowdsensing, data mining and deep learning, opportunistic and participatory sensing, sensor fusion, wireless networking, and edge computing, to provide solutions that can lead to the development of new digital biomarkers for a variety of diseases, protect vulnerable traffic participants, help protect the environment, or address cybersecurity challenges.
